Are You Willing? Are You Ready? Can You Do it?

Devotion 1
Am i willing to decide, in advance, that i will do what God asks me to do, no matter what it is?
Do you honestly believe that God made you for a specific purpose?
What gets you angry?
What gives you energy in life?
What are some of your greatest failure?

i can say i am willing now, but when things arent going my way and when all seems to be falling apart, im sure ill say no, i am not willing. this is something id like to change. i definitely believe that God made me and you for a reason, ive always believed there's a reason behind everything and anything. There're no such things as coincidences. My energy comes from serving God with all i have and being able to use the gifts He's blessed me with; dancing, smiling, talking, laughing, piano, drums, singing, humming etc. My greatest failure in life is not being able to appreciate what i have in life until it's gone. not taking it while i could have, and wondering what could've happened if i striked.

it's different now, ive made a note to myself to do and live life to the fullest. to not live in regrets. if i want to do something, id rather do it and fail than never to have given it a try. If God asks me to leave and do something for Him, i pray that ill be able to do it. Because God our Father knows what's best for us, He'll hold our hands throughout our journey. Because He is our Father, and what do Fathers do?
They take care and love you, they want the best for you. Our Father will protect us, coz WE are His children.

Devotion 2
Character or Career?
Does it have to be a choice?
If it came down to it, which would i choose?
What makes a Godly character?
Are these character traits evident in my life?

Does it have to be a choice hey? i believe that Character is something WE should work on, and leave our Career to God. Would God give you a career you wouldnt like? That's doubting God and His choice, His plans for us. Why would He want to give us a career we wouldnt enjoy?
He knows us even when we're in our mother's womb, He knows what we want to say even before we speak them out. God keeps telling us that He has a plan for us, a plan to PROSPER us, not to harm us. is that not clear enough? so if you want to do something now, be it hairdressing or being a doctor, if you earnestly pray to God about it, i believe that He will reveal His plans for you when you are ready, and trust me, He KNOWS when you are ready. He has a biiiiiig plan that we humans arent supposed to understand, as it's to complex. He's the God that created men, that created the earth and all living and non living things. The God that created heaven and hell, something we cant see or possibly imagine what it looks like.
So back to my point, WE should work on our character so God can show us His plans for us when we're ready (:

[22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness and self-control.
-Galations 5

Are these evident in my life? Sometimes they are, sometimes they arent. This is why we fall so easily, coz we're all sinners. When God gives you an opportunity in life, anyyy opportunity, regarding studies, future, family, love, friends or being a testimony for Him, are you willing to go for it? or are you going to give it a miss .. forever. It only comes once. and know that whatever you have here on earth, is temporary. What lies beyonnd earth in Heaven, lasts for eternity. E-T-E-R-NITY.

Devotion 3
Short story about Samson & Delilah : (Judges 13-16)
Samson was a very strong man with long hair. He was given an incredible power to protect the people of Israel, because they always seem to be in trouble. The Israelites would always triumph in wars because of Samson's incredible strength given by God. One day he met a girl named Delilah and fell in love with her. Delilah was bribed by Israel's enemy, to find out Samson's weakness. So Delilah went home and asked Samson about his incredible strength, about his weaknesses. Samson did not want to tell her so nights passed by and Samson kept lying to Delilah about his weaknesses. Delilah got angry and finally one night, she got him drunk and told Samson that if he truly really loved her, he'd tell her what his weakness is. So Samson having been intoxicated, told her that his strength came from his hair. If it was cut off, his strength would disappear and he would be as weak as any other man. So delighted Delilah quicklyy cut his hair off, tied him up and called the enemy. The enemy took him away and true enough, he was as weak as any other man alive. They tortured him and tied both his arms to two pillars while all of Israel's enemies and Delilah were having a party of victory in front of him. Samson prayed to God and asked one last time, for the incredible strength he once had. God granted him the strength for one more last time, and with it, Samson took down the two pillars and killed all of Israel's enemies in the building, including himself.

What was Samson's purpose in life?
What were his distractions?
What can we learn from his life?

Samson was appointed with the incredible to save the Israelites from harm. He made a mistake of letting out his weakness to Delilah, but because he understood God's purpose for creating and blessing him with that incredible strength, he saved Israel one more last time even if it meant ending his own life. That was God's purpose for Samson.

So we should check ourselves for the gifts God has blessed us with, with the hands, eyes, legs and body God has given to us and search for God's purpose for us in our life. Search for our reason. What we can do for Him, what He wants us to do for Him. If we dont acknowledge our own strengths and weaknesses, how are we going to serve God with what we have? we dont even know what we have or dont have. Be ready my fellow friends, know, acknowledge and be true to yourself and God. Stop putting yourself down and know that we're all unique in our own ways.

Devotion 4

How am i trusting God in my life right now?
How is God shaping me right now?
Am i living by faith or am i in control?
How does my life reflect the purpose of the cross?

Am i one to take things as they are. Coz ive told you, i believe everything happens for a reason. You can try your best to change something that's going to happen, but if it's God's plan for you, then the verdict will still be the verdict you wanted or didnt want to avoid. It's not up to you, it's up to him. It's not something you can control, LIFE is something God controls in his mysterious ways. We may not be able to see why this is happening now, but somewhere down the road, you'll find out and you'll be like " oohhh. i get it now. " Coz God has a BIGGER picture, and he's drawn a BIG picture for you to fit into his. If life was always good and happy, then you wouldnt ask God for anything would you? you wouldnt ask anyone for anything because life is good! you dont need nobody's help! THAT'S why crap happens, that's why he let's the devil screw around with us. Coz he wants us to be strong, and to be strong, we NEED God. God doesnt need us, but because we are His children, how can he not love and continuously care for us?

That's why ive told myself to try to put God first. Would He want me to do this? Would He want me to say that? Pray, pray and pray. Read, read and read the Bible because it has ALL the answers in life. The Bible is full of heaps of ppl's LIFE EXPERIENCES and when you see 'life experiences' it's obvious, that God wants us to learn from them so we dont repeat what HAS happened. so we're aware of what WILL happen.
The past, the present and the future, the Bible has it all.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
-Jeremiah 29:11
