so the girls and i were having this discussion about Relationships, based on this book they've read called ' I Kissed Dating Goodbye'.
1. Everyone likes being chased, even guys. - This would mean that the guy is more prone to taking the girl for granted because she was the one who initiated, not he. He can just sit back and relax because he knows that it's the girl who wants him, not vise versa. If the guy was chasing the girl FIRST, wouldnt you think he'd super respect her bacause he didnt want her to leave him? He'd also treat her like a precious treasure he's caught, because he's found AND got something he likes.
so If a decent looking girl likes a guy first, the guy probably wouldnt mind going for her coz guys likes being chased too. - Beinng in a relationship because you dont mind or because you like the person will tell you how you're going to treat or how you will be treated by him/her.
2. That's why you get into the relationship! to try it out, to see if it will work. it only gets serious once you're engaged, coz that way you know it's a serious commitment in life and you know you wont want to change you mind. that's what engagements and marriages are for! - .. it kinda makes sense. For most, this is where you can call it 'gaining experience' first i guess (:
3. This is why you dont date when you're young, coz you dont know if it will last when you're still meeting new people everytime. - truee, but! i like to refer to number 4, 5 and 6.
4. Love is a decision, not a feeling. So when you say you love someone, you commit and spend the rest of your life with them. There's no such thing as love as a feeling. Love should be something you can control, not something you cant control because people change all the time. - coz Love spells T I M E [:
5. Date only when you're really sure you can live with that person for the rest of your life. - noted! ^^
6. Most importantly, the CORE of dating should be on God; it should be God centered. Because that way, God can still work through the both of you, because that way, God is not being shut away while you're in a relationship. - YEABOI! >;D
7. It is very easy to sway from God when you enter a relationship, especially when your faith is still weak because it is difficult to commit to both at the same time. It is also easy to drift away from your friends when you enter a relationship. What if things doesnt work out and you're left with no friends? what if. - so we should help one another grow right? we're are in the same boat after all (:
8. Always pick the First best, not the second best. - How?? yknow that i know that there's always someone better out there. Guess that's what it means to be C O M M I T T E D. or just stop searching and be content with what you chose [; your decision, your life.
9. It's always better to be with someone who loves you more. -Wont that be a one-sided effort then? =/
