One can either accept what is to come and move on.
One can put it aside and block all memories that tries to come through.
One can pretend that it's never happened and go on a hiatus for awhile.
One can keep oneself so busy that there's no time to think of oneself.
One can turn to God, take a step back from everything and get back on track with God.
