it was a very sunny day, and 'must wears' to constructions sites are..
- steel capped boots
- long sleeved collared shirt and long jeans
- high visibility vest
- protective sunnies
- a white card to allow you to freely roam about the construction site without supervision

so my construction site supervisor, let's called him Mr Bee, was really friendly and chatty! Overall, these were what we accomplished/did on that day:
- temporary induction before entering a site
- did a traffic safety audit at the side of the road, with the construction site workers of a major road
- learnt about requirements and standards of distances of signs being put up when construction at the side of the road is taking place, what signs should be up and the speed required to slow the cars down while passing and exiting the site. (can also be found here)
- learnt about the 4 trucks that goes around their designated areas to repair, clean, remove and/or add signs, vegetation, rubbish and so on
- explored the outskirts of Perth via kwinana fwy
- learnt heaps about Mr Bee and his family, religion, education, experience in Health and Safety and upcoming projects during the car rides and the lunch break.
- explored his office as well, and got to look at his computer systems and projects he's been working on
Overall, it was a very pleasant trip and Mr Bee has offered more than i expected to receive! He even said i could call him up whenever i need help with my assignments, whenever i want to go on site at night and whenever id like to follow him around during the day! (:
